He serves as the President of Shaffaf Welfare Trust (S.W.T.), a non-governmental organization dedicated to serving underprivileged and distressed individuals in society. He assumed this role following the passing of his father, Dr. SA Burney (Late), the founder of Shaffaf Welfare Trust.

Shujat Burney was born on December 20, 1994, in the Federal B Area of Karachi. His father, Dr. SA Burney (Late), was a highly respected figure known for his loyalty and dedication. He served as the Chairman of the Human Rights Committee and was also the editor of “Parbat” newspaper. Additionally, he made significant contributions in various fields, bringing pride to Pakistan.

Shujat Burney completed his early education at Shah Grammar High School. He later pursued his intermediate studies at Islamia College (Jinnah Road) and graduated from Karachi University.

Professionally, he is a successful businessman and a dedicated social worker. His unwavering commitment to social welfare and community development has made a significant impact, earning him admiration and respect. Through his efforts and contributions, he continues to inspire positive change and uplift those in need.

Shujat Burney, along with his welfare organization, is actively working on 13 different humanitarian projects aimed at serving humanity and building a better society. He is Providing Home to Pakistani People's who can't afford to Home or Living Place. Our Mission to Provide Home in very Low Budget to reach every Low Income to Lower Class & Middle Class Families.

Legal Aid

The Legal Aid Society is a not-for-profit organization that has a mission to connect vulnerable and disempowered end users of justice with effective and expedient services for the justice.

He is continuously helping poor and needy people since, 1992 by providing “Iftari” in Ramadan, distributing Ration to poor and needy people. Shaffaf Trust is also distributes gifts and Eid clothes.

We are working for Develop Community which name Asaan Cerebral Palsy Community. We are collecting CP-Child Data from Karachi & in future Pakistan. Children’s with disabilities face.

We facilities to special children to provide those books, pen, pencils, school bags and uniforms. We bring educated & learned people to educate them. We conduct musical program.

Qurbani means sacrifice. Every year during the Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah, Muslims around the world slaughter an animalS a goat, sheep, cow or camel to reflect the Prophet Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son.

The IT Program, introduced in 2024 by Shujat Burney, is a visionary initiative designed to equip Pakistan’s youth with essential digital skills at an affordable cost of just PKR 3,000 only & a time period of 2 months.

What do you want to do for Pakistan?

When devastating floods struck Pakistan, Shujat Burney played a crucial role in relief efforts. As a responsible Pakistani and social worker. Shujat Burney has rendered remarkable services for Pakistan. As a true patriot and dedicated social worker, he has always stepped forward to serve the nation, especially in times of crisis. He ensured that essential supplies, including clothes, ration packs, and mosquito repellents, reached the flood-affected people. At that time, the conditions in many areas of Pakistan were extremely dire, and he actively contributed to providing much-needed aid. He faced significant resistance, including multiple attacks by Afghan groups. Although he did not suffer personal injury, he endured considerable financial losses. However, despite these challenges, he remained steadfast in his mission, prioritizing the country's interests over his personal safety. Similarly, when the dengue virus spread across Karachi and other parts of Pakistan, Shujat Burney worked tirelessly with passion and dedication. He organized awareness campaigns in hospitals, facilitated preventive measures, and ensured the availability of medicines for those affected by the disease. His efforts helped many people combat the outbreak and receive proper medical care. In addition to his humanitarian work, Shujat Burney also raised his voice against the illegal stay of Afghan nationals in Pakistan. His stance was that those residing in Pakistan without legal documentation should be sent back to Afghanistan. He worked tirelessly on this mission, dedicating his time and efforts to ensuring the lawful deportation of undocumented foreigners. Beyond these efforts, Shujat Burney has represented Pakistan in various fields, proving himself as a source of motivation, a committed social worker, and a true patriot. His relentless dedication to serving the nation is a testament to his sincerity, courage, and love for Pakistan.

The Voice of Karachi

Shujat Burney has always been at the forefront in addressing Karachi’s issues, whether it’s water shortages, electricity problems, street crimes, or any other crisis. He stands as a pillar of support for the people of Karachi and works tirelessly to resolve their problems. During the recent heavy rains in Karachi, the situation had worsened to such an extent that the government was unable to take any action. High-ranking officials remained in their homes, enjoying the rain, while Karachi suffered. However, in those difficult times, Shujat Burney, the true son of Karachi, was out in the flooded streets, helping people in the slums whose homes were submerged in sewage water. His relief efforts during these rains were unmatched, and no other social worker in Karachi contributed as much as he did. Shujat Burney personally led rescue and aid operations in various areas of Karachi, including Machar Colony, Lyari, Buffer Zone, and North Karachi. He sacrificed his sleep, working day and night to improve the situation for the people of his beloved city. Apart from disaster relief, Shujat Burney has actively raised his voice against increasing crimes in Karachi. He has organized protests and rallies against street crimes, dacoities, and lawlessness. Additionally, he has taken a strong stance against harassment and mistreatment of women in the city by leading awareness campaigns and public demonstrations.
